Supporting Youth in Teaching & Leading:
Teaching: Ask when they are teaching next. Allow them to prepare the lesson independently, but offer support and guidance if needed.
Assignments & Activities: Ask about upcoming assignments for the next month. Determine if they are in charge of or have assignments for any activities.
Calendar & Reminders: Help set calendar reminders to ensure assignments are completed on time.
Communication: Remind youth to regularly check communication channels (e.g., email, Gospel Living Circles, texts).
Encouragement: Remind youth to be kind and courteous at activities and church lessons. Encourage involvement and interest, recognizing the effort it takes to lead peers.
Supporting Youth Development:
Goal Setting: Provide time and guidance (if needed) for them to set spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual goals.
Reflection: Ask them what they learned at church and in their lessons.
Parental Involvement & Guidance:
Individualized Support: Recognize that each child is different. Adjust your level of involvement based on their needs, providing more reminders and organizational support if necessary.
Independence: Encourage them to do as much as possible independently.
Communication with Leaders: Communicate with leaders for clarification or assistance as needed.
Open Communication: Maintain open communication, answering any questions they may have.
Prayer: Pray for them.
